Ethnic Christmas
Our field trip today was to the Strawberry Hill Museum in Kansas City to see their 32 Nativity sets on display. (This beautiful photo is courtesy of Polar Bear!) Each immigrant group also has a display room and we enjoyed the Polish treasures and Christmas customs the best -- they even have the TWA artifacts from Pope John Paul II's flights to America in a separate locked glass case. The twins were surprised there was no poviticia bread for sale. Captain has ordered some for the holidays to be mailed to our home. Meggar and I decided it would be worthwhile to come back on a weekend when the Tea Room was open.
