Advent is a Time for Prayer

... and for preparations. The amount of preparation foretells the outcome. So on this First Sunday of Advent, I am listing the suggestions from our pastor during his (continually) worthwhile homily. Fr. Benjamin recommended looking at the Seven Deadly Sins, from Proverbs 6:16, which may have crept into our lives:
Pride
Greed
Lust
Anger
Gluttony
Envy
Sloth
and then practicing the virtues that replace them:
Pride Humility
Greed Charity
Lust Chastity
Anger Patience
Gluttony Temperance
Envy Kindness
Sloth Diligence
