Let There Be...

Hope.
God is who He says He is.
God can do what he says He can do.
Therefore, my hope is based on the certitude that God is faithful.
"Hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." (Romans 5:5)
Father Baker gave an excellent meditation after mass today about the virtue of hope. He tied in harmoniously with the Communion Antiphon (Psalm 33:18):
"Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, to deliver their souls from death and give them life in the time of famine."
