Fathers and sons celebrated 8th grade graduation in style at Galvin's Steakhouse last night. The famous fried chicken and KC strip steaks did not disappoint! Captain reported that he relished the conversations, which ranged from college to jobs to politics to the role these young men will have to play in society as good fathers and husbands in a few years. He gave Dorito a diploma and Bible verse encouragement (along with a special watch).
Relatives from the Schmidling side of the family gathered to honor Dorito: Tony and Mary, Gr. Elizabeth, and Aunt Kathy. Of course, the Violin Concerto was more impressive than the cake. :-) Pleasant afternoon!
