Science in the Backyard

We found five Monarch caterpillars on our parsley!  Throughout the day, I noticed each boy checking on them between studies (sometimes we worked outdoors on the patio table).  We love Monarchs and have been tagging them for years.  I always secretly hope that ours make it to Mexico for the winter.  Did you know that scientists only discovered the winter nesting grounds of Monarchs in 1974?
