Graduation for the Homeschoolers

Fifteen graduates were recognized at our local Homeschool Commencement this afternoon in St. Joseph. Such a large and accomplished senior class! Joseph gave an outstanding address on behalf of his classmates. And we were delighted by the entire program of slide show, diploma presentation, and words of wisdom from the parents. :-)

Wife said:
"Being the oldest in a home school family is a blessing and a curse. The lessons we learned together were much more than academics. And I wouldn't trade it for anything." Captain said: "You will always hold the key to my heart. Remember, you can't live on Peachy-Os and Starbucks in college. But you can always call us if you have any minutes left on your cell phone. We'll talk hockey." Megan's theme song was "The Lining is Silver" which seems so appropriate to her journey in life thus far.
