Yesterday we went to the MPE Gradua- tion in Kansas City to support Andrew, Hannah, Kristen, and Nicole. It was such a large group, with 76 homeschool seniors. Today is Kristen's party--way south in Vassar, Kansas.But first, we went to Kansas City for Meggar's exam with the State Applied Music judge...
Then we stopped to meet Robin, my college pal... The "Brits" store in Lawrence had an outdoor festival planned today, but the rain made it suitable only for true Anglophiles. Meggar and I took our new umbrella and enjoyed ourselves anyway. It was so fun to get a taste of Britain and France ahead of time: Lavender pound cake muffins were for sale alongside warm cups of PG Tips tea. 
We bought a guide book on "Bath" for our trip and a petit silver cake server from the antique dealer. Meggar also bought some salami and sparkly lemonade for her snack. I gave Robin a "bird" magnet. She is special for her sweet songs/witty words.
