Dale at Dad's Weekend

Captain called on his way back from Truman State and the AGD Dad's Weekend.  He had a wonderful time!  Too bad they didn't take any pictures.  Of course, he spoiled Meggar with hugs and eating out and a movie.  They had very warm weather for an afternoon cookout with about 45 other dads and daughters. (I used the warm day for gardening and splitting hostas with my friend Dee.)  Captain told me all the good conversations he and Meggar shared, and how delightful it is to have a mature young woman in our family.  I agree!
Addendum:  Meggar proudly said they were the best dressed pair at the BBQ! Captain met Shawna's and Emma's dads so he had someone sober normal to talk to.  Happily, Meggar has only six debits from her savings account this semester.  He gave her a refresher course in campus safety.  She played piano for him at OP Hall, and he noticed the Steinway's humidifier needed refilled just like the one at our house! :-)
