Fr. Ben Kneib celebrated his first mass at the altar of St. James today. This homeschool boy from our parish is going to make a fine priest! Many homeschool families came to the reception afterwards showing clearly the blessing of big families. (I wore a hat, because it is like a wedding as the priest is now married to the Church and lays down his life for Her.)How wonderful also that my boys could hear the homily by Fr. Christian Malewski about answering "the call" to a challenging and wonder-filled life. This prompted much discussion later at family prayers and bedtime.
